6 Ways To Live Abundantly

Motivation

Good morning! Good afternoon!  Good evening!  (Depending on where you find yourself at this moment!)

Well, it’s morning here, as I write this. Normally, when I write my blogs, I often have a plan or an outline, but then…there are days like today when I just write from the heart. It doesn’t have to be all business, all the time does it?

No.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. (Shining throwback for those of you who enjoyed that movie!)

In this post, I’m sharing some simple ways that I use to live life more abundantly!

This is the type of stuff that some of my students find in their inbox each week, so I thought it would be fun to put it out there for everyone. Perhaps it will be the kick in the pants you needed today!

Can you define abundantly?

Abundantly is defined as “in a plentiful or sufficient degree; fully; amply; plentifully.”

For me personally, this journey into entrepreneurship hasn’t been all about money. In fact, quite the opposite. I wanted freedom and the chance to live a life of joy that I designed. Part of that design process was to create my ideal day and slow down. Slow my roll and stop moving at a tornado’s pace throughout the day only to check things off a to-do list, missing the details of life and never allowing my body and soul to rest.

From my first day as a solopreneur, I’ve left no details overlooked. No option left unexplored. I’m happy to share what I’ve finally settled on, in my quest to live my life more abundantly!

#1: Create a morning routine that you look forward to.

I’ve studied the habits of many successful people and one thing I know for sure is that these folks don’t just roll outta bed and haphazardly start their day. Every single one has her own version of a miracle morning.

For me, this morning routine starts slowly. I like to wake up naturally and make my delicious latte. This sounds funny, but if coffee is your thing, splurge on the coffee system that delivers you joy in a cup! Once my eyes pop open, I check to see that it’s past 4:30 am (and can get out of bed) then I make a beeline to the kitchen. I can’t wait to get to my first cup of joe and settle into my morning routine.

The very first thing is my gratitude practice. I write down 3-5 things from the last 24 hours that I’m grateful for. Big or little. This process forces me to relive the last 24 hours, relishing in the memories and staying with the emotions that accompany those memories for a few moments. (“Staying” with your emotions is something that we could all stand a bit of practice with!) Today, I was grateful for: referrals, tv time relaxing with family, Linzee, emotions, and writing content from the comfort of my home.

#2: Bless your body.

Appreciate it. Enjoy it. Do right by it. You only get one. I’m not talking about how we look physically, but I am talking about our physical body. Listen to it. Be intuitive. What do you need? I like to bless my body every day with nutritious food and movement of some sort. I’ve abandoned living with a bunch of “rules”. I’d rather live my life with reckless abandon than being boxed in by a bunch of guidelines and expectations.

#3: Don’t wait for the weekend.

Live life today. You don’t have to save everything enjoyable for the weekend or your day off. I used to be such a stickler with this. “What? You want to go to a movie on a work night? You’re crazy.” Now I look at every 24 hours as an opportunity to make a memory. Take a sunset 4wheeler ride on a Wednesday evening? You betcha. I’ll bring the wine.

What if the weekend never comes? Never put off the fun that you could have today, until tomorrow. Bad idea.

#4: Create incredible habits.

I’m definitely a creature of habit! Even though I’m totally game to throw caution to the wind, on most days my habits are running my life! Some of my incredible habits are:
✨Good bedtime hygiene
✨Excellent skincare
✨Discovering new recipes and cooking at home
✨Nightly bedtime yoga and stretching
✨Exercise
✨Daily reading or learning

#5: Appreciate rest.

This was probably the hardest area for me to learn. I was like the Energizer bunny. I didn’t really know how to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. It wasn’t until I dug into ‘why’ I love the shorter days of the fall so much and I discovered that when it gets dark early, I tend to rest more. Over the years I’ve learned to follow the rhythm of the season and I welcome autumn and winter because I know how to appreciate resting. Sometimes this is hot tea and a book on the couch. Sometimes it is crawling into my bed at 7 pm to browse Pinterest. Sometimes it is just staying still.

#6: Do something every day that makes you happy.

Understand what sets your heart ablaze. What makes you come alive! Do this every day. I have this sign hanging in my bathroom and every day, as I’m preparing for bed, I repeat my mantra “Today, I did _____________ that made me happy!”

Some days it’s that I went to a new coffee shop. Some days it’s that I went to a killer yoga class. Some days it’s that I got my hair combed and my teeth brushed. The struggle can be real at times, but I still make sure that I say it in my out-loud voice so I make sure that I don’t ever fall off the happiness wagon!

There ya have it, my friend. Six ways that I live my life abundantly. If this is an area where you seem to spin out, I encourage you to simply pick one and try it on for size.  Living abundantly is what it is all about in my opinion.  Not the zero’s in your account.  Not the car parked in the drive.  It’s living life fully. And joyfully. And plentifully.

I challenge you to implement it into your life for 30 days and see how it feels. 😘

I’m all ears.  I’d love to hear how you are using my ideas, or perhaps some of your own creations, to live life more abundantly!

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I've taken another course?

If you've taken another course and don't feel prepared to dip your toes in, then we recommend that you invest in another course.  We've got many students who've taken multiple courses and found that our course and leadership were the bomb-diggidy that finally made things click!

Will this course give me business training too?

The Ditch Hygiene Program was designed to give you the myofunctional therapy foundation as well as learn how to start / run your business.  Throughout the entire course, you learn exactly what Carmen did to build a multi 6-figure business (soon to be 7 figure business).  Plus, you will also have several interviews and business case studies from other therapists about their own business journey.

What sets this program apart from others?

What makes the Ditch Hygiene Academy different?

The leadership of Carmen.  She empowers, educates, and encourages you along the way...while helping you become a myofunctional problem solver.  The Ditch Hygiene Academy doesn't just lure you in and leave you.  Our program leads you.  The testimony speaks volumes.

Carmen never tops mentoring and coaching you.  Your success is her success.  This is a high-touch premium level program.  There is only room for go-getters!  Carmen shows you the path and teaches you to believe in yourself, your process, and the possibilities of what life can bring!!

This program is absolutely the only one of it's kind that offers practical application for both therapy and business.  You work alongside other ambitious women who are exactly where you are...at the beginning!  Carmen is there every step of the way, from mock clients, practice clients to a real life apprenticeship!

How long can I access the material?

Your teaching cohort will be 24 weeks long, and longer if you choose to uplevel for stage 4 or 5 training.  You will have access to all materials for that length+ an additional 30 days to tie up loose ends.  If you enroll as a gold level member, you get access for the lifetime of the course! All information will be located inside your course agreement when you enroll.

Who can take the course?

Dental hygienists. We ask for proof of your credentials before finalizing your enrollment.

Do I have to get "certified"?

While there is an option in some programs to get a "certificate", it is not necessary, nor does the training guarantee your success.  Currently, myofunctional therapy is written (by the ADHA) into the scope of practice.  This means you need to get the myofunctional education, but it doesn't mean you have to pay the high expense of a "certification" program.  If you see the need for this certification, then you should seek out those programs and compare expenses to do so.  Our program has had a successful mix of those who wanted to do both.  Let's face it...you will get your education from many sources...myofunctional therapy education is not a "one and done" type of learning sequence! The Ditch Hygiene Academy is not a "certification" program and does not endorse or recommend any program.

Training does not = competency.  Keep that in mind.  It takes experience to have competency!

How will I reach people?

You learn many different tactics in the program.  There are primarily three different ways that clients were introduced to us.  1) Hygiene patient 2) Found via a search 3 ) Referred to us

You also learn about our story and how we were able to build a team and teach people.  Networking and marketing strategy is part of the step-by-step roadmap provided for you by this program.

What if I don't like the program?

We are pretty serious about our passion to help only the serious folks.  Since this is a digital course, we do not offer a refund because you get immediate access to the material.  Please make sure you have thought your decision through before registering!  Because once you do...she is yours!!  Want to take a sneek peek?  Here is a peek at lesson 1, 5 and 8.
